

Pattern Services - Custom Made to Measurements Tutu Basque (Yoke) Pattern
Priced per piece. For use with Classical and Romantic tutus, Harem Pants and various other dance costumes. This is the most important part of a classical tutu and must fit well for the rest of the tutu to fit well.
Custom basque patterns can be made in the following styles:
A. Traditional Classical-Style, which sits at the True Waist and High Hip.
B. Low-Waist Classical -Style, but sits at the Low Waist and High Hip. This style is often used on rehearsal tutus and tutus that will be worn with a crop-top-style bodice.
C. Exotic-Style, with a point at the lower center front, and waistline is made to sit at the True Waist.
D. Exotic-style, with a point at the lower center front, and the waistline is made to sit at the Lower Waist measurement.
This Custom Basque Pattern is made to measurements supplied by client. We will need four measurements:
1. True Waist: Area of body that creases in when you bend to the side. This is often higher than most people consider their waist to be due to current fashion styles.
2. Low Waist:Â Area 2-inches below the True Waist.
3. Basque Depth:
For Traditional Classical-Style, the measurement between the true waist and where you want the bottom of the basque to sit. The bottom of the basque is also normally the place where the top layer of a classical tutu should sit, and lies between 3.5 and 5-inches below the True Waist.
For Low-Waist Classical-Style, the measurement between the low waist and where you want the bottom of the basque to sit. The bottom of the basque is also normally the place where the top layer of a classical tutu should sit, and lies between 2 and 3 inches below the Low Waist.
4. High Hip:Â Measure horizontally AROUND the upper hip area, approximately 3.5 to 5-inches below the True Waist, OR 2 to 3-inches below the Low Waist. This is the area where the bottom of the basque should sit.
