Ballet Bodice - Adult 8 Piece Made to Order

This classic ballet bodice comes in 8 Junior Missy/Adult standard sizes - 0/0, 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, and 13/14.  There is also an option for custom sizing.

Fabric choices include Bengaline, Stretch Taffeta, Brocades, Princess Satin, Satin Jacquard, Stretch Velvet, and Stretch Brocades.  You may send us fabric if you prefer to use something we do not carry in stock. Not every color is available in every fabric.  Some can be custom-dyed, some cannot.  We will contact you if we cannot supply your specific color choice, OR if there will be an additional charge for custom dyeing your fabric choice.

Please Note: Base pricing is for an un-decorated bodice, with steel spiral bones in bone casings, piping on upper edge, and either hooks and bars or hook and eye tape with a double row of eyes sent with the bodice for you to attach once you have fit the bodice on the dancer. Invisible mesh shoulder straps are sewn on at the front.  You will need to sew them to the back of the bodice once they are fit on the dancer.  

Although sized by standard chest and waist measurements, we will need other measurements for a custom-sized bodice. View our measurement chart.

We recommend dry cleaning the bodice when needed, OR washing it by hand in cold water, or in the machine in a laundry bag on the delicate cycle with cold water.  If decorated, the embellishment overlay may need to be removed when cleaning, depending on trims and embellishments used.  We will tell you if this is the case. 

All bodices are made with one-inch side seams, and 3-inches at the center back for ease of alteration.  Other seams are half-inch.  

Skin-tone mesh center-front insets are optional.

Production Time 

Our Made-to-Order tutus and costumes are handcrafted in our Charlotte, NC studio to your exact specifications. Typical delivery time is 10–16 weeks, depending on season and project volume. Because our production calendar fills quickly, please email [email protected] before placing any tutu or costume order needed before April 10, 2026. We want to ensure we can meet your deadline with the care and artistry your piece deserves. When possible, we may be able to accept a rush request. Rush fees apply.
